As you are aware, the NITV has spent many years and invested tremendous resources to develop an automated system to accurately quantify CVSA^® patterns. The goal of such a system has always been to remove any subjectivity involved in evaluating CVSA^® charts.
The new CVSA^®II features:

1. The CVSA^® Final Analysis Confirmation Tool^® (FACT^®) Scoring Algorithm which “calls” charts as DI or NDI.

2. The capability to record examinations to the CVSA^®’s hard drive, eliminating the need for a tape recorder, and allowing analysis in real time or at a later time.

3. The capability to record conversations directly from telephones for analysis.

4. The capability to store recorded examinations, reports, etc. on the system’s hard drive or other digital media.

5. Additionally, all CVSA^® user interfaces and processes have been simplified to streamline the operation of the CVSA^®II.

The CVSA^®II’s FACT^® Scoring Algorithm has been field-tested by the California Highway Patrol, Nashville P.D., San Diego Co. Sheriff’s Dept., Orange Co. Sheriff’s Office (Orlando, FL), and the Prince George’s Co. Sheriff’s Office (MD).

Further, extensive operational validation trials of the scoring algorithm demonstrated an accuracy rate, which included data from the law enforcement field evaluations, consistently exceeding 96%, with a false positive rate of less than 0.7%.

Since this is a completely new version of the CVSA^® software program and not an upgrade, each system requiring installation of the CVSA^®II program must be sent to the NITV. Reservations are required to ensure a quick turn-around for your system. Please call the NITV for details.

Trade-Ins: Due to the advances and complexities of the CVSA^®II software program, installation of the CVSA^®II program requires the Windows XP Operating System. Agencies with CVSA^®’s not utilizing the Windows XP OS may trade-in their current CVSA^® for the CVSA^®II at a special price of $2,895.
